- the door to your du'a was never locked
the door to your du'a was never locked
You’re standing in front of the door to your answered du’a.
In your heart, you’re certain it’s locked.
You’re begging Allah to open it.
Behind you, shaytan whispers:
“You’re not worthy.”
“You’re doing it wrong.”
“Just give up.”
“If Allah wanted this for you, the door would be open already.”
You keep making du’a, trying to silence those whispers, but the door doesn’t move.
Your hope starts to fade.
You feel your feet turning away.
“Maybe you’re right,” you think.
“Maybe it isn’t written for me.”
But then, something shifts inside of you.
You remember who Allah is.
You remember that trusting Him means you try.
You decide this time will be different.
You take a deep breath, walk back to the door, and say:
“Ya Fattah, Ya Qadir, You are the Opener, You are All-Powerful. Everything is easy for you, swing this door open for me.”
And with full certainty in your Rabb, you reach for the handle,
whisper bismillah,
and the second you touch the handle…
The door swings open.
You realize it was never locked.
It was only a test from Allah.
He unlocked the door the moment you asked,
but he wanted too see if you trusted Him enough to take the first step.
Now, Imagine if you’d listened to shaytan’s whispers and never tried to open the door.
You walked away and gave up on your du’a.
Wondering why Allah didn’t answer you.
Blaming yourself and your sins.
Convinced now, more then ever, that you’re not worthy of an answer.
How would that impact your relationship with Allah?
How happy would shaytan be?
Shaytan knows that when you combine du’a with trust and effort, Allah swings the door open.
Even his du’a got answered, right after he refused to follow Allah’s command.
That’s why he’ll do everything in his power to stop you from taking that step.
Because he knows that…
Allah doesn’t answer your du’a because you’ve earned it.
You don’t have to be “worthy” of an answer because, let's be honest, none of us can be no matter how much we try.
But that’s the beauty of du’a.
Allah answers out of his mercy, out of his unconditional love for you.
All he wants is for you to trust him.
Tawakkul starts in the heart but shows up in actions.
True tawakkul means you try and open the door.
If it’s locked, then you search for the key.
If you can’t find the key, you look for something to pic the lock with.
All while you keep making du’a with full trust that Allah will open the door.
There are 3 possible outcomes:
The door opens and you get exactly what you want
You thank Allah, not your hard work because you know it wouldn’t been possible without his help. The door doesn’t open and you run out of ideas on how to open it
You start working on another door (du’a) and trust that the first door will open when the time is right. The door opens but it’s not what you expected
You thank Allah for giving you something better than what you asked for and trust his ultimate wisdom and love for you.
I know this might sound simple, or maybe even obvious.
You're probably thinking, "I already make du'a and take action."
But here's what I didn't realize for years:
There's a big difference between hoping the door will open and knowing it will.
Between taking action because you're desperate and taking action because you're certain of Allah's response.
I thought I was acting with trust.
I was making du'a daily, I was "trying" things, I was putting in effort.
But I was still standing at a distance from the door, letting Shaytan's whispers dictate my next move.
Still measuring Allah's love by how quickly He answered.
The shift wasn't about praying more or working harder.
It was about understanding how to balance action with trust.
Once I understood that balance, everything changed.
The truth is: Most people think they're practicing tawakkul when they're actually practicing anxiety & fear with a side of effort.
They're standing at the door, making du'a, taking steps, but still holding their breath, waiting for proof that they're worthy.
Real tawakkul breathes easily.
It’s reaching for the handle not because you’ve earned the right to, but because you trust the One who controls all doors.
This is the mindset shift I help you make inside The Tie Your Camel Guide.
Inside, you get a 3-step framework showing how to:
Ask with certainty
Act with trust (not just talk about it)
And stay patient while detaching from the outcome.
If you're ready to move from hoping to trusting, from anxious to certainty, then this is for you.
